    TCL Self-Service Fees


    The TCL's equipment is available for use by all KU investigators.  A fee is required for each instrument in order to cover the costs of maintenance.  Fees are charged quarterly (every three months), after use, for only the equipment used during the quarter.
    Before using the TCL's equipment, investigators are required to fill out the "Tissue Culture Laboratory Self Service Form".  The form can be downloaded (in Microsoft Word format) or picked up in the TCHL office (Malott Rm 5048).

    Tissue Culture Equipment*  Includes: Sterile Hoods, CO2-incubators, Centrifuge, Inverted Microscope, Liquid Nitrogen Storage, and Ultra-Low Freezer storage

    FACScan** High Use/Low Use fee: High Use > 10hrs, Low Use < 10hrs.  Example: If an HBC investigator uses the FACScan for 6.5 hours during the quarter they will be charged $100.00; if a KU investigator uses the FACScan for 12.5 hours during the quarter they will be charged $425.00
