| Student Chapter of the American Association
of Pharmaceuticals Sciences
Organization and Membership Information
AAPS is interested in increased
participation from graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.
It is this desire that has lead to the development of student
chapters. These chapters are meant to increase awareness and understanding
of the pharmaceutical industry. Some of the general goals are
outlined below:
- To increase pharmaceutical student participation in AAPS,
now and in the future.
- To better familiarize traditional pharmaceutical and non-traditional
pharmaceutical discipline students with the AAPS organization
on a local and national level.
- To reach out to undergraduate pharmacy, as well as non-pharmacy
students interested in a career in the pharmaceutical discipline.
- To provide a stronger sense of belonging to students who
do not always get to attend the national and/or regional meetings.
- To educate students about the pharmaceutical industry and
career opportunities through invited speakers who are experts
in this area.
- To educate students about pharmaceutical research and regulatory
aspects concerning research being conducted in industrial
labs through invited speakers and presentations by group members
at meetings.
